    Drama for self discovery

Improvisation and theatre games captures the interest of young and old alike. Like magic, improvisation is the art of appearing to create something out of nothing. This weekend retreat will introduce you to the basics of improvisation. You will build self confidence, and explore different ways of expressing yourself, in a relaxing and playful environment.

All you need for participating in this retreat is bucketload of enthusiasm and willingness to let go and have fun. You will explore and develop important skills such as listening, quick-thinking, risk-taking and self-confidence: skills that will help you in your daily life.

Elke Vankoert will facilitate this retreat. She discovered theatre and improvisation after moving to Auroville in 2006. Until then, Elke's passion had been classical dance, but after participating in a Shakespeare production in 2008 her passion shifted to theatre.

While taking part in theatre productions and musicals she discovered theatre improvisation and since 2012 she has been part of a small Auroville-based improvisation group called Impro Possum.

During this retreat you may also get to know some of the other members of this group: Emanuele Grassi and Véronique Jobard.
